Celebrating Two Decades: Crafting a Custom 20th Anniversary Cutting Board | DIY Charcuterie Board
In this special DIY project, we’re commemorating two decades of engineering excellence with a personalized cutting board. Whether you’re celebrating a business milestone or a personal achievement, this thoughtful gift is sure to impress. Follow along as we guide you through the steps to create a stunning and functional charcuterie board that will be cherished for years to come.
Steps:
Select Your Wood: Begin by choosing the type of wood for your cutting board. Each wood has its unique grain and color, so pick one that resonates with the couple’s style.
Cut to Size: Use a saw to cut the wood to your desired dimensions. Consider shapes like rectangular or arched.
Smooth the Edges: Use a router or sandpaper to round the edges and create a comfortable grip.
Personalize: If you have an engraving tool, add the an inlay, business logo, or a heartfelt message.
Finish and Protect: Apply a food-safe finish to protect the wood from moisture and enhance its natural beauty.
Display with Pride: Place the cutting board on a sturdy display stand when it’s not in use.
Remember, this cutting board isn’t just functional-it’s a symbol of dedication and achievement. Cheers to 20 years of engineering excellence! 🎉

Ken when I was a kid and dinosaurs roamed the Earth mom had an aluminum Christmas tree with a rotating light that shined on the tree changing the colors. This could be an idea for a Christmas video if you could cast a blank of metal shavings and turn a tree with a light in the base changing colors. I'm just the idea man, I don't make it happen. It's your baby now ! lol

GREAT VIDEO! Love how you got right into it and talked about the pros and cons. Very informative! The only thing I wish you talked about, was the time it took to engrave and or cut the items to give us an idea of how fast or slow this machine is cause it's hard to estimate it with the high speed fast time lapse you did on the video.

Ken Moon, I feel your pain, literally! I lost two fingertips in the blink of an eye. I was working on a machine and didn't use LOTO. They always tell you, never trust safety interlocks to keep a machine from starting on you. I went to look at conveyor belt that was slipping. I removed the belt guard and I put my fingers on the drive belt to test the tension and the operator decided to start the machine. Those two fingers were pulled right into the drive pulley and crushed off those fingertips. It took two surgeries to repair the damage and 65 days of lost work. I still don't have any sensation in those two fingers.

Did you get a Head CT Scan while you were there? I feel for you bud... biggest thing for me is if my head is not there, I just don't go into the shop. Or... I just go in to straighten or clean up. That's been my rule and I'm 61 yrs.
